Cross Lanes Christian Warriors (Charleston, WV) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Teays Valley Christian Lions (Scott Depot, WV), 80-75 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cross Lanes Christian upgrades its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Warriors host Victory Baptist Academy (Beaver, WV) to play the Saints in a non-league bout on Monday, January 23. The Saints come into the bout with a record of 7-5. Victory Baptist Academy won 89-44 in their recent league bout against Elk Valley Christian (Elkview, WV)

The Lions (8-3) will now prepare for their battle against West Logan Christian Academy (Logan, WV). The Warriors come into the Freelance battle with a 6-4 record. In their last battle, West Logan Christian Academy edged Mount Hope Christian Academy (Mount Hope, WV), 85-69, in a league battle.
