Texas High School Basketball - Cypress Woods nips Cypress Lakes

Cypress Woods Wildcats (Cypress, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Cypress Lakes Spartans (Katy, TX), 58-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Cypress Woods upgrades its record to 12-12 on the season. The Wildcats host Langham Creek (Houston, TX) to play the Lobos in a 6A Region II District 16 bout on Wednesday, January 25. The Lobos go into the bout with a record of 18-8. Langham Creek won 43-39 in their recent league bout against Cypress Falls (Houston, TX)

Next up, the Spartans play the Cypress Springs Panthers (Cypress, TX) in a 6A Region II District 16 bout, on Wednesday, January 25. Cypress Lakes will attempt to upgrade on its 11-13 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 17-8 record after their 56-50 league win over Cypress Ranch (Houston, TX).
