Dryden Cardinals (Dryden, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Deckerville Eagles (Deckerville, MI), 63-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Dryden upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season. The Cardinals host Peck (Peck, MI) to play the Pirates in a North Central Thumb bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 7-3. Peck lost 59-45 in their recent league bout against Kingston (Kingston, MI)

Next up, the Eagles play the Genesee Wolves (Genesee, MI) in a Genesee Area - Blue bout, on Saturday, January 21. Deckerville will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 1-8 record after their 73-40 non-league loss to Bendle (Burton, MI).
