The Demopolis Tigers basketball team scored 89 points and held the visiting Hale County Wildcats to 82 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Tigers now sport a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brewbaker Tech for a 5A Area 5 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Demopolis will meet a Rams team coming off a 66-35 non-league win over Booker T. Washington Magnet (Montgomery, AL). The Rams record now stands at 9-11.

The Wildcats (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against American Christian Academy (Tuscaloosa, AL). The Patriots enter the 4A Area 7 contest with a 10-10 record. In their last contest, American Christian Academy was nudged by Tuscaloosa Academy (Tuscaloosa, AL), 47-44, in a non-league contest.
