The East Poinsett County Warriors basketball team (Lepanto, AR), was nudged 48-44 in Friday's league battle with the host Earle Bulldogs (Earle, AR)
The Bulldogs now possess a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Marmaduke for a 2A Region 3 battle on Wednesday, January 25. Earle will battle a Greyhounds team coming off a 63-55 league loss to Buffalo Island Central (Monette, AR). The Greyhounds record now stands at 10-9.
The Warriors (8-11) will now prepare for their battle against Haywood (Brownsville, TN). The Tomcats come into the non-league battle with a 18-4 record. In their last battle, Haywood edged Covington (Covington, TN), 91-68, in a league battle.
