Connecticut High School Basketball - East Lyme topped by New London

The New London Whalers basketball team scored 66 points and restricted the visiting East Lyme Vikings to 53 in the Whalers league victory on Friday.
The Whalers now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Waterford for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 24. New London will battle a Lancers team coming off a 47-43 non-league win over Amistad (New Haven, CT). The Lancers record now stands at 5-8.
The Vikings (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Ledyard (Ledyard, CT). The Colonels come into the Eastern Connecticut I contest with a 0-11 record. In their last contest, Ledyard was defeated by Waterford (Waterford, CT), 65-35, in a non-league contest.
