Nixyaawii Community Eagles (Pendleton, OR) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Elgin Huskies (Elgin, OR), 98-23 in a league bout.

With the victory, Nixyaawii Community upgrades its record to 13-1 on the campaign. The Eagles host Griswold (Helix, OR) to play the Grizzlies in a 1A Old Oregon bout on Friday, January 27. The Grizzlies come into the bout with a record of 1-10. Griswold lost 64-27 in their recent league bout against Union (Union, OR)

Next up, the Huskies play the Echo Cougars (Echo, OR) in a 1A Old Oregon bout, on Saturday, January 21. Elgin will attempt to upgrade on its 0-12 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 4-8 record after their 68-54 league loss to Union (Union, OR).
