Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Estacado Matadors (Lubbock, TX) and the host Snyder Tigers (Snyder, TX), saw Estacado's basketball squad overcome Snyder by a tally of 51-39.

With the victory, Estacado improves its record to 15-15 on the campaign. The Matadors host Sweetwater (Sweetwater, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 4A Region I District 5 challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 17-9. Sweetwater lost 49-44 in their recent league challenge against Big Spring (Big Spring, TX)

Next up, the Tigers play the Lake View Chiefs (San Angelo, TX) in a 4A Region I District 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Snyder will attempt to improve on its 7-16 season record. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a 6-18 record after their 62-27 league loss to Levelland (Levelland, TX).
