May Tigers (May, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Eula Pirates (Clyde, TX), 54-48 in a league bout.

With the win, May upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Tigers travel to Rising Star (Rising Star, TX) to clash with the Wildcats in a 1A Region II District 13 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 7-4.

Next up, the Pirates clash with the Baird Bears (Baird, TX) in a 1A Region II District 13 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Eula will attempt to upgrade on its 15-9 season record.
