The Kemp Yellowjackets (Kemp, TX) basketball nipped the host Eustace Bulldogs (Eustace, TX), 54-53 in Friday's league test.
The Yellowjackets (16-9) will now prepare for their test against Palmer (Palmer, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 3A Region III District 18 test with a 16-4 record. In their last test, Palmer got by Mildred (Corsicana, TX), 52-42, in a league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 6-19 record. They play next when they travel to Scurry-Rosser for a 3A Region III District 18 test on Tuesday, January 24. Eustace will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 42-30 league loss to Malakoff (Malakoff, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-9.
