California High School Basketball - Westchester knocked off by Fairfax

The Fairfax Lions basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Westchester Comets to 56 in the Lions league triumph on Friday.

The Lions now sport a 12-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Francis for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 21. Fairfax will battle a Golden Knights team coming off a 52-37 league win over Alemany (Mission Hills, CA). The Golden Knights record now stands at 17-8.

The Comets (15-7) will now prepare for their contest against Palisades (Pacific Palisades, CA). The Dolphins enter the Western contest with a 8-12 record. In their last contest, Palisades was defeated by Hamilton (Los Angeles, CA), 60-57, in a league contest.
