The Fairfield Indians (Fairfield, OH) basketball nipped the host Mason Comets (Mason, OH), 58-53 in Friday's league test.

The Indians (13-3) will now prepare for their test against Lakota West (West Chester, OH). The Firebirds go into the Greater Miami test with a 6-10 record. In their last test, Lakota West got by Lakota East (Liberty Township, OH), 37-36, in a league test.

The Comets now own a 11-5 record. They play next when they travel to Princeton for a Greater Miami test on Tuesday, January 24. Mason will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 57-56 league loss to Middletown (Middletown, OH). The Vikings record now stands at 10-5.
