Texas High School Basketball - Farwell crushes Vega

Farwell Steers (Farwell, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Vega Longhorns (Vega, TX), 61-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, Farwell upgrades its record to 18-4 on the campaign. The Steers host Panhandle (Panhandle, TX) to play the Panthers in a 2A Region I District 3 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 15-5. Panhandle won 56-21 in their recent league bout against Bovina (Bovina, TX)

Next up, the Longhorns play the Boys Ranch Roughriders (Boys Ranch, TX) in a 2A Region I District 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Vega will attempt to upgrade on its 12-9 season record. The Roughriders come into the bout with a 9-10 record after their 66-55 league win over Highland Park (Amarillo, TX).
