Valley Springs Tigers (Valley Springs, AR) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Flippin Bobcats (Flippin, AR), 62-59 in a league bout.

With the victory, Valley Springs upgrades its record to 12-10 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Lincoln (Lincoln, AR) to play the Wolves in a 3A Region 1 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Wolves come into the bout with a record of 5-7. Lincoln lost 49-48 in their recent league bout against Green Forest (Green Forest, AR)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Elkins Elks (Elkins, AR) in a 3A Region 1 bout, on Friday, January 27. Flippin will attempt to upgrade on its 9-11 season record.
