Texas High School Basketball - Permian can't hold off Frenship

The Permian Panthers basketball team (Odessa, TX), was nudged 81-74 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Frenship Tigers (Wolfforth, TX)
The Tigers now possess a 22-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Midland for a 6A Region I District 2 battle on Tuesday, January 24. Frenship will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 70-61 league win over San Angelo Central (San Angelo, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 17-6.
The Panthers (14-9) will now prepare for their battle against Midland Legacy (Midland, TX). The Rebels come into the 6A Region I District 2 battle with a 3-21 record. In their last battle, Midland Legacy was nudged by Odessa (Odessa, TX), 67-62, in a league battle.
