Genoa Area Comets (Genoa, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Woodmore Wildcats (Elmore, OH), 67-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Genoa Area upgrades its record to 10-3 on the season. The Comets travel to Swanton (Swanton, OH) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 21. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 11-3. Swanton lost 45-34 in their recent league bout against Liberty Center (Liberty Center, OH)

Next up, the Wildcats play the St. Joseph Central Catholic Crimson Streaks (Fremont, OH) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 21. Woodmore will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Crimson Streaks go into the bout with a 3-9 record after their 66-41 league loss to Calvert (Tiffin, OH).
