Highland Christian Academy EAGLES (Valdosta, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Grace Christian Academy Cougars (Bainbridge, GA), 58-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Highland Christian Academy upgrades its record to 6-8 on the season. The EAGLES travel to Baker County (Newton, GA) to clash with the Bears in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 0-7. Baker County lost 59-52 in their recent non-league bout against Westwood (Camilla, GA)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Southwest Georgia Academy Warriors (Damascus, GA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 23. Grace Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 6-9 record after their 58-54 league loss to Georgia Christian (Valdosta, GA).
