The Grace Lutheran Royals (Pocatello, ID) basketball nipped the visiting Mackay Miners (Mackay, ID), 39-35 in Friday's non-league test.

The Royals (11-5) will now prepare for their test against Sho-Ban (Fort Hall, ID). The Chiefs go into the non-league test with a 4-8 record. In their last test, Sho-Ban got by North Gem (Bancroft, ID), 53-49, in a non-league test.

The Miners now own a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Leadore for a 1A Rocky Mountain test on Saturday, January 21. Mackay will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 45-38 non-league win over North Gem (Bancroft, ID). The Mustangs record now stands at 9-4.
