Smithtown Christian Knights (Smithtown, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Greenport Porters (Greenport, NY), 53-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Smithtown Christian upgrades its record to 7-7 on the season. The Knights travel to Shelter Island (Shelter Island, NY) to play the Islanders in a Section 11 B/C/D-5 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Islanders go into the bout with a record of 0-9. Shelter Island lost 63-42 in their recent league bout against Ross (East Hampton, NY)

Next up, the Porters play the Shelter Island Islanders (Shelter Island, NY) in a Section 11 B/C/D-5 bout, on Saturday, January 28. Greenport will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.
