The Hedgesville Eagles basketball team (Hedgesville, WV), was nudged 46-40 in Friday's league battle with the host Spring Mills Cardinals (Martinsburg, WV)
The Cardinals now sport a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jefferson for a Eastern Panhandle battle on Tuesday, January 24. Spring Mills will battle a Cougars team coming off a 83-68 non-league win over St. James (Hagerstown, MD). The Cougars record now stands at 7-4.
The Eagles (11-3) will now prepare for their battle against DC International (Washington, DC). The Dragons come into the non-league battle with a 9-7 record. In their last battle, DC International edged Capital City Public Charter School (Washington, DC), 59-44, in a league battle.
