Hinsdale Central Red Devils (Hinsdale, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Lyons Lions (LaGrange, IL), 49-41 in a league bout.

With the victory, Hinsdale Central upgrades its record to 18-3 on the campaign. The Red Devils travel to Batavia (Batavia, IL) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 21. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 11-11. Batavia won 68-53 in their recent league bout against Wheaton North (Wheaton, IL)

Next up, the Lions play the Proviso East Pirates (Maywood, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 21. Lyons will attempt to upgrade on its 17-3 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 16-3 record after their 2-0 league loss to Downers Grove South (Downers Grove, IL).
