The Thompson Warriors basketball team (Alabaster, AL), was nudged 75-73 in Friday's league battle with the host Hoover Buccaneers (Hoover, AL)
The Buccaneers now possess a 23-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Vestavia Hills for a 7A Area 5 battle on Tuesday, January 24. Hoover will battle a Rebels team coming off a 80-73 league win over Tuscaloosa County (Northport, AL). The Rebels record now stands at 19-4.
The Warriors (13-11) will now prepare for their battle against Hueytown (Hueytown, AL). The Golden Gophers come into the non-league battle with a 6-12 record. In their last battle, Hueytown edged Brookwood (Brookwood, AL), 76-54, in a league battle.
