The McKenzie Rebels (McKenzie, TN) basketball felled the visiting Houston County Fighting Irish (Erin, TN), 65-55 in Friday's league test.
The Rebels (10-3) will now prepare for their test against Gibson County (Dyer, TN). The Pioneers go into the non-league test with a 9-4 record. In their last test, Gibson County thwarted Union City (Union City, TN), 64-27, in a league test.
The Fighting Irish now own a 7-10 record. They play next when they host Waverly Central for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 24. Houston County will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 68-60 league win over Stewart County (Dover, TN). The Tigers record now stands at 4-9.
