Howell Highlanders (Howell, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Northville Mustangs (Northville, MI), 41-38 in a league bout.

With the victory, Howell upgrades its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Highlanders host Salem (Canton, MI) to play the Rocks in a Kensington Lakes bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Rocks come into the bout with a record of 6-6. Salem won 57-49 in their recent league bout against Novi (Novi, MI)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Plymouth Wildcats (Canton, MI) in a Kensington Lakes bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Northville will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 77-48 league loss to Brighton (Brighton, MI).
