Jackson County Blue Devils (Gainesboro, TN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Sequatchie County Indians (Dunlap, TN), 49-27 in a league bout.

With the victory, Jackson County upgrades its record to 12-6 on the campaign. The Blue Devils host Monterey (Monterey, TN) to play the Wildcats in a 2A District 5 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 15-7. Monterey won 45-32 in their recent league bout against Sequatchie County (Dunlap, TN)

Next up, the Indians play the Monterey Wildcats (Monterey, TN) in a 2A District 5 bout, on Saturday, January 21. Sequatchie County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-13 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 14-6 record after their 77-38 league loss to York Institute (Jamestown, TN).
