The Lowellville Rockets basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Jackson-Milton Bluejays to 42 in the Rockets league victory on Friday.

The Rockets now sport a 13-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Western Reserve for a Mahoning Valley - Scarlet contest on Tuesday, January 24. Lowellville will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 50-43 league win over Waterloo (Atwater, OH). The Blue Devils record now stands at 7-8.

The Bluejays (5-9) will now prepare for their contest against McKinley (Sebring, OH). The Trojans come into the Mahoning Valley - Scarlet contest with a 9-7 record. In their last contest, McKinley prevailed over East Canton (East Canton, OH), 47-43, in a non-league contest.
