The Jacksonville Fightin' Indians basketball team scored 45 points and held the host Madisonville Mustangs to 44 in the Fightin' Indians league triumph on Friday.

The Fightin' Indians now sport a 15-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hudson for a 4A Region III District 18 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Jacksonville will battle a Hornets team coming off a 63-58 league loss to Palestine (Palestine, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 13-14.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Rusk Eagles (Rusk, TX) in a 4A Region III District 18 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Madisonville will attempt to upgrade on its 22-5 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 7-16 record after their 65-44 league loss to Bullard (Bullard, TX).
