Jefferson County Tigers (Fayette, MS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Wesson Cobras (Wesson, MS), 75-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Jefferson County upgrades its record to 5-9 on the season. The Tigers travel to Port Gibson (Port Gibson, MS) to play the Blue Waves in a 3A Region 7 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Blue Waves go into the bout with a record of 14-5. Port Gibson won 50-49 in their recent league bout against Franklin County (Meadville, MS)
