Jefferson Democrats (Portland, OR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting McDaniel Mountain Lions (Portland, OR), 71-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Jefferson upgrades its record to 6-8 on the season. The Democrats host Franklin (Portland, OR) to play the Quakers in a 6A Portland bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Quakers go into the bout with a record of 3-13. Franklin lost 69-60 in their recent league bout against Roosevelt (Portland, OR)
