Marist RedHawks (Chicago, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers (Joliet, IL), 72-62 in a league bout.

With the victory, Marist upgrades its record to 18-5 on the campaign. The RedHawks host Niles Notre Dame (Niles, IL) to play the Dons in a East Suburban Catholic bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Dons come into the bout with a record of 12-9. Niles Notre Dame won 37-26 in their recent league bout against St. Patrick (Chicago, IL)

Next up, the Hilltoppers play the Plainfield Central Wildcats (Plainfield, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 21. Joliet Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 8-10 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 5-15 record after their 72-55 league loss to Plainfield North (Plainfield, IL).
