Kennedale Wildcats (Kennedale, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Venus Bulldogs (Venus, TX), 91-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Kennedale upgrades its record to 21-6 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Hillsboro (Hillsboro, TX) to play the Eagles in a 4A Region II District 10 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 16-10. Hillsboro won 47-39 in their recent league bout against Godley (Godley, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Alvarado Indians (Alvarado, TX) in a 4A Region II District 10 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Venus will attempt to upgrade on its 6-21 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 24-3 record after their 57-49 league win over Ferris (Ferris, TX).
