Maryville Christian Eagles (Maryville, TN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Knoxville Ambassadors Ambassadors (Knoxville, TN), 57-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Maryville Christian upgrades its record to 12-10 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Sweetwater (Sweetwater, TN) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Monday, January 23. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 9-6. Sweetwater won 52-37 in their recent league bout against Loudon (Loudon, TN)

Coming up next, the Ambassadors confront the Appalachian Christian HomeSchool Warriors (Abingdon, VA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, January 28. Knoxville Ambassadors will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Warriors come into the battle with a 2-3 record after their 75-63 non-league loss to Mountain Mission (Grundy, VA).
