Texas High School Basketball - La Joya fells Mission

La Joya Coyotes (La Joya, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Mission Eagles (Mission, TX), 66-53 in a league bout.

With the win, La Joya upgrades its record to 19-11 on the season. The Coyotes host Edinburg North (Edinburg, TX) to play the Cougars in a 6A Region IV District 31 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 18-13.

Next up, the Eagles play the Edinburg Bobcats (Edinburg, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 31 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Mission will attempt to upgrade on its 7-14 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 19-9 record after their 50-20 league win over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo (San Juan, TX).
