Lakeland Hawks (Rathdrum, ID) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Sandpoint Bulldogs (Sandpoint, ID), 70-62 in a league bout.

With the victory, Lakeland upgrades its record to 3-10 on the campaign. The Hawks host Moscow (Moscow, ID) to play the Bears in a 5A/4A Inland Empire bout on Friday, January 27. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 7-7. Moscow lost 58-52 in their recent league bout against Sandpoint (Sandpoint, ID)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Timberlake Tigers (Spirit Lake, ID) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 25. Sandpoint will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 5-9 record after their 70-55 non-league win over Genesis Prep Academy (Post Falls, ID).
