Lamesa Tornadoes (Lamesa, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Littlefield Wildcats (Littlefield, TX), 61-56 in a league bout.

With the win, Lamesa upgrades its record to 22-2 on the season. The Tornadoes host Muleshoe (Muleshoe, TX) to play the Mules in a 3A Region I District 3 bout on Monday, January 23. The Mules go into the bout with a record of 6-7. Muleshoe won 61-35 in their recent league bout against Friona (Friona, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Muleshoe Mules (Muleshoe, TX) in a 3A Region I District 3 bout, on Friday, January 27. Littlefield will attempt to upgrade on its 9-8 season record.
