Lord Botetourt Cavaliers (Daleville, VA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA), 65-32 in a league bout.

With the victory, Lord Botetourt upgrades its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Alleghany (Covington, VA) to confront the Mountaineers in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 23. The Mountaineers come into the challenge with a record of 7-10. Alleghany lost 51-33 in their recent league challenge against Radford (Radford, VA)

Next up, the Golden Eagles confront the Franklin County Eagles (Rocky Mount, VA) in a Blue Ridge challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Staunton River will attempt to improve on its 2-14 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 58-45 league loss to Northside (Roanoke, VA).
