Tatum Coyotes (Tatum, NM) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Loving Falcons (Loving, NM), 53-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Tatum upgrades its record to 8-9 on the season. The Coyotes travel to Hagerman (Hagerman, NM) to clash with the Bobcats in a 2A District 4 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 7-11. Hagerman lost 69-37 in their recent league bout against Jal (Jal, NM)

Next up, the Falcons clash with the New Mexico Military Institute Colts (Roswell, NM) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 21. Loving will attempt to upgrade on its 2-16 season record. The Colts go into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 71-48 non-league loss to Portales (Portales, NM).
