Loyola Crusaders (Mankato, MN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Madelia Blackhawks (Madelia, MN), 70-34 in a league bout.

With the victory, Loyola upgrades its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Crusaders host Alden-Conger (Alden, MN) to play the Knights in a A Section 2 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 6-7. Alden-Conger lost 78-65 in their recent non-league bout against Mabel-Canton (Mabel, MN)

Next up, the Blackhawks play the Heron Lake-Okabena Wildcats (Okabena, MN) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 23. Madelia will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record.
