The Lund Mustangs basketball team (Lund, NV), was nudged 72-68 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Mineral County Serpents (Hawthorne, NV)
The Serpents now possess a 14-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pahranagat Valley for a 1A Central battle on Saturday, January 21. Mineral County will confront a Panthers team coming off a 59-40 non-league loss to Sandy Valley (Sandy Valley, NV). The Panthers record now stands at 3-12.
The Mustangs (9-3) will now prepare for their battle against McDermitt (McDermitt, NV). The Bulldogs come into the non-league battle with a 1-15 record. In their last battle, McDermitt was nudged by Eureka (Eureka, NV), 69-29, in a league battle.
