Alabama High School Basketball - Macon-East Montgomery Academy nudges Valiant Cross Academy

January 20, 2023: Cecil, AL 36013

In Friday's league outing, the Macon-East Montgomery Academy Knights (Cecil, AL) basketball squad edged the visiting Valiant Cross Academy Warriors (Montgomery, AL), by a count of 48-45.

The Knights (17-5) will now prepare for their outing against Chambers Academy (LaFayette, AL). The Rebels go into the non-league outing with a 5-10 record. In their last outing, Chambers Academy was tipped by Abbeville Christian Academy (Abbeville, AL), 51-44, in a league outing.

The Warriors now hold a 0-8 record. They play next when they travel to Springwood for a AISA AAA Region 1 outing on Saturday, January 21. Valiant Cross Academy will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 84-56 league loss to Lee-Scott Academy (Auburn, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-10.
