Malden Catholic Lancers (Malden, MA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host St. John's Prep Eagles (Danvers, MA), 67-52 in a league bout.

With the victory, Malden Catholic upgrades its record to 12-0 on the campaign. The Lancers host Boston College High (Boston, MA) to play the Eagles in a Catholic bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 4-7. Boston College High won 51-48 in their recent league bout against Xaverian Brothers (Westwood, MA)

Next up, the Eagles play the St. John's Pioneers (Shrewsbury, MA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 24. St. John's Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Pioneers come into the bout with a 4-8 record after their 66-53 non-league loss to Catholic Memorial (West Roxbury, MA).
