The Mammoth Spring Bears basketball team (Mammoth Spring, AR), was overwhelmed 76-54 in Friday's league battle with the host Marked Tree Indians (Marked Tree, AR)

The Indians now possess a 16-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cairo for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 21. Marked Tree will confront a Pilots team coming off a 67-58 non-league loss to Frankfort (West Frankfort, IL). The Pilots record now stands at 1-18.

The Bears (16-9) will now prepare for their battle against Crowley's Ridge Academy (Paragould, AR). The Falcons go into the 1A Region 3 outing with a 4-14 record. In their last outing, Crowley's Ridge Academy smashed Armorel (Armorel, AR), 64-62, in a league outing.
