The Matoaca Warriors (Chesterfield, VA) basketball felled the host Meadowbrook Monarchs (Richmond, VA), 62-50 in Friday's league test.
The Warriors (11-3) will now prepare for their test against Thomas Dale (Chester, VA). The Knights go into the Central test with a 4-10 record.
The Monarchs now own a 2-12 record. They play next when they travel to Prince George for a Central test on Tuesday, January 24. Meadowbrook will encounter a Royals squad coming off a 77-37 league loss to Hopewell (Hopewell, VA). The Royals record now stands at 1-13.
