The McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) basketball nipped the host T.C. Roberson Rams (Asheville, NC), 57-50 in Friday's league test.

The Titans (9-9) will now prepare for their test against North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC). The Black Hawks go into the 3A/4A Conference 53 test with a 10-8 record.

The Rams now own a 5-13 record. They play next when they host North Buncombe for a 3A/4A Conference 53 test on Tuesday, January 24. T.C. Roberson will encounter a Black Hawks squad coming off a 74-67 league loss to A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC). The Black Hawks record now stands at 10-8.
