The McMinn County Cherokees routed the visiting Ooltewah Owls basketball squad by a margin of 84-30 in Friday's league test.
The Cherokees (10-6) will now prepare for their test against Central (Murfreesboro, TN). The go into the non-league test with a 15-6 record. In their last test, Central walloped Maplewood (Nashville, TN), 56-46, in a league test.
The Owls now own a 0-13 record. They play next when they host Bradley Central for a 4A District 5 test on Tuesday, January 24. Ooltewah will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 65-39 non-league win over Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe (Fort Oglethorpe, GA). The Bears record now stands at 14-3.
