Texas High School Basketball - Medina ripped by Utopia

The Utopia Buffaloes basketball team scored 76 points and held the visiting Medina Bobcats to 47 in the Buffaloes league triumph on Friday.

The Buffaloes now sport a 7-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rocksprings for a 1A Region IV District 31 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Utopia will battle a Angoras team coming off a 51-43 league win over D'Hanis (D'Hanis, TX). The Angoras record now stands at 20-4.

The Bobcats (4-13) will now prepare for their contest against Nueces Canyon (Barksdale, TX). The Panthers enter the 1A Region IV District 31 contest with a 3-11 record. In their last contest, Nueces Canyon was routed by Knippa (Knippa, TX), 43-26, in a league contest.
