The Quemado Eagles basketball team (Quemado, NM), was overwhelmed 50-25 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers (Las Cruces, NM)
The SonBlazers now possess a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Magdalena for a A District 2 battle on Saturday, January 21. Mesilla Valley Christian School will confront a Steers team coming off a 63-25 non-league win over Tularosa (Tularosa, NM). The Steers record now stands at 17-0.
The Eagles (8-8) will now prepare for their battle against Cliff (Cliff, NM). The Cowboys/Cowgirls come into the A District 2 battle with a 12-3 record. In their last battle, Cliff trounced Animas (Animas, NM), 80-39, in a league battle.
