Southwest DeKalb Panthers (Decatur, GA) followers went home content Friday as they observed their basketball team notch a victory over the host Miller Grove Wolverines (Lithonia, GA), 55-43 in a league game.

In their next game, the Panthers face the Clarkston Angoras (Clarkston, GA) in a AAAA Region 6 game, on Friday, January 27. Southwest DeKalb will attempt to move on its 15-2 season record.

With the defeat, Miller Grove moves to 10-8 on the year. The Wolverines host Stone Mountain (Stone Mountain, GA) to face the Pirates in a AAAA Region 6 game on Tuesday, January 24. The Pirates enter the game with a record of 4-15. Stone Mountain lost 71-51 in their recent non-league game against Northgate (Newnan, GA)
