Pearce Mustangs (Richardson, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Nimitz Vikings (Irving, TX), 56-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Pearce upgrades its record to 17-10 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Berkner (Richardson, TX) to play the Rams in a 6A Region I District 7 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 4-19. Berkner lost 81-43 in their recent league bout against Lake Highlands (Dallas, TX)

Next up, the Vikings play the Richardson Eagles (Richardson, TX) in a 6A Region I District 7 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Nimitz will attempt to upgrade on its 9-14 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 19-9 record after their 64-53 league win over MacArthur (Irving, TX).
