Illinois High School Basketball - North Mac can't hold off Southwestern

The Southwestern Piasa Birds basketball team scored 38 points and restricted the host North Mac Panthers to 36 in the Piasa Birds non-league victory on Friday.

The Piasa Birds now sport a 11-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Greene for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 25. Southwestern will battle a Spartans team coming off a 62-34 league loss to Brown County (Mt. Sterling, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 5-14.

The Panthers (9-12) will now prepare for their contest against West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] (Winchester, IL). The Cougars come into the non-league contest with a 16-7 record. In their last contest, West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] edged Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia (Concord, IL), 53-43, in a league contest.
